Steel is one of the major products in the construction of structures which helps to withstand building for long-lasting. The technical name of steel in engineering is reinforcement and it is also termed TMT bars.
To calculate the weight of the steel, the following formula is used
Weight of steel per meter = ( D X D ) / 162. (where D is the dia of the rod)
Example :
To calculate 8mm dia rod weight per meter
= (8X8)/162 = 0.395 Kg
To calculate the weight of a single rod of 8mm dia
= 12 X 0.395 = 4.740 Kg
